Election policy statement:
Macks Manifesto: Paul's Solemn Pledge

- I shall only withdraw the average wage, all other monies shall be given to voluntary organisations working within the constituency - chosen by the people of Paisley South.

- I shall work full-time as my constituents' Member of Parliament and not take backhanders from businessmen to act for them in the Scottish Parliament or any other paid consultancies.

- Put all diverse agencies involved in Paisley's physical regeneration - the council, local enterprise company tourist board etc into a single task force to combat the effect of the new Braehead Shopping Complex.

- Will be answerable and accountable only to the people of Paisley South - not party interests from Edinburgh & London and still act in the best interests of my conscience, my constituency and my country.

- Shall make a full declaration before the Election of my financial interests and publicly update this record for as long as I am an MSP.

- Shall work in Parliament and co-operate with others to seek an end to the current culture of violence in our society particularly among the young.

- Shall listen to concerns of my constituents about the need to give far greater priority in all government policies to creating jobs, particularly entire families who are presently unemployed.

Personal details used in election:
There are still people who put others before themselves. Dedicated to defending the underdog against the abuse of power. Who you trust in politics is more than a matter of faith.

"I give away most of what I earn. That's basically my policy. I live in Paisley in a one bedroom flat. I have three suits, five shirts and two pairs of shoes. I have one major flaw; Justice is written across my heart."

Councillor Mack is the ONLY councillor since first elected in 1992 never to miss a full council meeting or a surgery. Simply unrivalled anywhere in Scotland.
During that time he has dealt with over 2,000 cases, 5,000 letters and a stubborn refusal to bend a knee to those who abuse there positions of power.

Paul Mack has acted on behalf of not just his own constituents but anyone who is in need of help. Voluntarily representing employees at industrial tribunals and litigants unable to receive legal aid in civil actions; fighting for the disabled to get what is rightfully theirs, and most notably protecting and safeguarding the interests of the people of Paisley in his tireless campaign against Renfrewshire Council.

His fight & that of the community to prevent property speculators building on Anchor Recreation Grounds has been a role model for a nation.
