Clare Hamblen was born and educated in Glasgow, attending Bearsden Academy and then Glasgow Caledonian University where she trained as a Nurse. She is currently working in Stobhill Hospital having previously been based at Gartnavel General Hospital. Clare lives in the constituency and understands the problems faced by local people.

For the past four years Clare has been Councillor for Westerton. She is campaigning for better local education and council services.

Clare has both the experience and energy to be a first class MSP for Maryhill.
