- In this historic election for the Scottish Parliament I am campaigning for -
A Fundamental Change in our Society
Unemployment, poverty, homelessness and all the social evils surrounding us have been caused by a system which creates inequality, exploitation and accumulates wealth for a minority. This system - capitalism and the "free market" - is supported by the main political parties in this country.
A Socialist Alternative
Recognising that people have the power to make their own lives better and create a fair and just society not ruled by market forces.
A Meaningful Scottish Parliament
Exercising power to intervene in industrial and economic matters which will create employment by developing our traditional industrial base and expanding the new technology industries.
Exercising power to abolish the inequalities in our society - combat poverty and act on behalf of the disadvantaged and underprivileged.
Exercising power to provide proper housing, health care and education. Exercising power to protect the environment.
Socialist Labour is committed to campaigning for a Socialist Society and a Better World.
