Election policy statement:
Dear Elector,
I am pleased to stand as Labour's candidate for Angus. Angus badly needs representation. Angus needs an MSP to fight its corner. Angus needs action, not words. If elected, I will fight for regeneration of our housing estates, for new jobs, better road and rail communications, on behalf of our existing industries, especially engineering, fish processing and farming. To do this, I need your help. There is no need to vote tactically now. Labour is just 4,000 votes off winning in Angus. So vote Labour on 1st May. Make 1st of May Labour Day.
Yours sincerely,
John Denning.

Labour working for you in Angus
While the SNP controlled Council fails to deliver for Angus - not one inch of tarmac on the A92 "dual" carriageway - the Labour led Scottish Executive is delivering:
- Over £50m to regenerate local schools.
- Funding for Montrose bridge
- Support for rural bus services
- Saving Stracathro Hospital
Labour has also delivered safety improvements on the A90 including a flyover and underpass at Longforgan

GLAXO
It is essential that a new buyer is found for the Glaxo plant and that everything necessary is done to keep the workforce in jobs.

ARBROATH
Arbroath needs new jobs and regeneration as well as support for existing industries. Arbroath needs representation - action, not words.

CONSERVATION
Angus is beautiful and attractive to tourists. We should seek to conserve and preserve what is good. The demolition of the centre of Carnoustie at Westpoint House must be prevented.

COMMUNICATIONS
We must end this SNP Angus Council farce concerning the A92 and actually get it dualled. Six years on and no tarmac laid.
The railway needs upgrading and more trains to stop at Carnoustie, Monifeith and Montrose.
We also need full access to Broadband
