- A better deal for pensioners
"Labour in the Scottish Parliament has been good for pensioners. Free off-peak bus travel, free personal care and the Central Heating Programme have all made a difference to pensioners throughout Clydesdale. I'm glad they'll extend the travel scheme so I can go anywhere in Scotland by bus for free" Jessie Watson, Kirkmuirhill pensioner.
Better education for all
"Labour's education policies have benefited all my family. One has a free nursery place, one has a smaller primary class and the new books and equipment have been great news. I'm glad they have said they'll now cut class sizes at SI & S2, build a new school at Larkhall and refurbish the rest." Angela Closs, Stonehouse mum.
Better public transport
"I'm pleased with the extra investment in public transport. We've seen better bus services throughout Clydesdale especially at evenings and weekends and double the trains at every Clydesdale station. People can get about much more easily. The £23 million for the new rail link for Larkhall is great news too." Ralph Barker from Crawford.
Better local health care
"I have just had an operation and I didn't wait long. The new hospital is great, the staff were excellent and I was well looked after. We've a new health centre now in Lanark and Stonehouse is getting a new hospital too thanks to Labour's investment in our health service. It's great news." Annie Main, Lanark.
It has been my privilege to have been your Member of the Scottish Parliament since 1999. With your support, I can continue to deliver better services for Clydesdale.

Working hard for local people
John Hill of Larkhall explained "Karen Gillon will get my vote because when our family was flooded recently Karen was a great help to us. She ensured that we got support when we needed it most. She also fought to make sure that something was done to prevent flooding in the future. She really cares about her constituents."
Speaking up for Clydesdale
"Karen Gillon has spoken up for her constituents, young and old, and involved them in her work. She took forward a Bill to give Scotland a Children's Commissioner and she has pressed the Executive to make improvments for people with dyslexia and autism. That's why she'll get my vote on May 1" David Ballantyne, Stonehouse.
Listening to local people
Margaret Lees from Carluke says "Karen has listened to her constituents and worked hard to deal with their concerns. That's especially true with crime. She has tackled antisocial behaviour head on, ensuring that all agencies take it seriously and deal with bad neighbours effectively. I'll be voting Labour on May 1"
Committed to Clydesdale
"Karen Gillon is a hard working MSP. She makes time for people and is always happy to help. She has an office in Lanark and has regular surgeries throughout the area. She has campaigned hard to ensure that facilities in the constituency such as New Lanark get the support they need" said New Lanark's, Harry Smith.

Better education for all
"Education is key to our success. By investing in nurseries, reducing class sizes and improving school buildings, Labour has shown its commitment to children. Karen Gillon understands how important children are and has shown that with her bill to give us a Children's Commissioner." Stonehouse mum, Angela Closs.
Better local health care
"Health care in Clydesdale is definitely improving. I recently had an operation in the new hospital and the staff were great. The new facilities in Lanark and Stonehouse are good news too. Karen Gillon has campaigned to get more money for Clydesdale and I'm sure she'll get the x-ray at Lanark " said Annie Main from Lanark.
Better local public transport
"I don't drive so I rely on public transport. In the last 4 years we've got more buses especially at weekends and at nights. The new rail link to Larkhall is great news too. Karen Gillon has worked hard to make sure we got a fair share of the extra investment. That's why she'll get my vote on May 1." Jim Macdonald, Larkhall.
