Election policy statement:
Dear Voter
As a trade union official I am in daily contact with the Scottish Parliament. My work has shown me that this Parliament can make a real difference to peoples lives. Establishing the Scottish Parliament hasn't been without its challenges, but Labour has laid strong foundations for the future.
I am proud that Labour has put education first by building 3 new high schools in Falkirk West, by guaranteeing nursery places for every 3 and 4 year old and reducing primary school class sizes.
Labour has delivered free care for the elderly and has guaranteed an appointment with a health care professional within 48 hours. A new hospital will shortly be built in the Forth Valley area, only because Labour has provided Billions of pounds for the NHS.
We have delivered free travel throughout Scotland for the elderly. I will build on this and insist that the Parliament does something to improve public transport between the towns and villages of Falkirk West.
We will continue to crack down on drug dealers and tackle youth crime. Only by voting Labour can you make sure we get decent strong communities built on a bedrock of decent jobs and public services. Please use your vote to make sure that we can finish what we have started.
Yours faithfully
Lee Whitehill

More Teachers
"Scottish Labour has already delivered a better deal for teachers and reduced class sizes.
I'm voting for Lee Whitehill on May 1st to make sure we get smaller classes for our Secondary Schools."

More Nurses
Scottish Labour understands that a proper NHS needs more nurses and doctors and less managers.
Only Scottish Labour are committed enough to deliver the things that matter to the people that work in and use the NHS.

More Police
Scottish Labour is the only party that can be trusted to make our streets safer by taking on the drug dealers and neds hanging about the streets. Scottish Labour are cracking down on crime and will continue to help the victims of crime, not the criminals.

Doing More For Pensioners
Labour has done a lot for Scotland's pensioners. We have delivered free personal and nursing care and free local off-peak bus travel in the Scottish Parliament. On top of the Winter Fuel Payment, the free TV licences for over 75s, the Minimum Income Guarantee, and the Pension Credit delivered at Westminster.

Labour working for you in Falkirk West
Scottish Labour have delivered on some great policies in the last 4 years. Use your vote to help me deliver for Falkirk. Elect me and I will do my utmost to:
- Bring decent well paid jobs for the area.
- Get new schools built across Falkirk West.
- Take criminals and thugs off our streets
- Bring a modern Hospital to Falkirk
Scottish Labour has made a strong start building a better Scotland. Don't let the towns and villages of Falkirk West be left behind. There is a lot more to do and with your support on May 1st, we can build better public services, safer communities and good jobs.
