EDWARD A. B. HAY

THE son of Alexander Hay, a Glasgow merchant, Mr. Hay was born in Govan, and educated at Glasgow High School and the Andersonian University. His firm, Bruce & Hay, were designers of the Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society's warehouse, and of the vast workshop of the United Co-operative Baking Society. They have also erected public halls, baths, banks, churches, municipal buildings, and a Carnegie library. They have designed schools for the School Boards of Glasgow and Govan, and have been architects to Bothwell School Board for twenty-five years.

Mr. Hay married the eldest daughter of ex-Bailie John Laing, and has a family of two sons and three daughters.
