French expedition 1905

This expedition was led by Dr Jean Charcot on the ship Francais. The expedition passed Bruce in the River Plate off Buenos Aires. This was a most successful scientific expedition, exploring large areas to the west of the Antarctic Peninsula and adding many French names to the map of the Antarctic.
