Petershill Athletic and Junior Football Club have been the Scottish junior football representatives of the Springburn and Townhead areas of Glasgow for over a century.
Petershill were formed in 1897, and for the first 30 years of their existence the club played at Arrol Park. In 1935 the club moved to Petershill Park, for which all the work of laying the pitch, erecting terracing, pavilion and dressing rooms was performed by local volunteers.
The club have been junior league champions 10 times in their history and have won the Scottish Junior Cup on five occasions, the last time in 1956, beating Lugar Boswell Thistle 4-1.
