Men from Springburn joined many different regiments. Some, if they had Irish ties, joined (for example) the Dublin Fusiliers; others joined Scots regiments. Many joined the Glasgow and Ayrshire Regiments of the Royal Scots Fusiliers and the Highland Light Infantry.
